Manager’s commentary

This month, in plain words.

Camille Roussel · Thomas Vidal

September added 1.1% against 0.8% for the index. Industrial holdings recovered after a weak summer, and our two medical-technology companies both raised their guidance at half-year.

We sold the last of our position in a Dutch payments company after a third profit warning in two years: the story had changed, and we could no longer explain it in two minutes. The proceeds went to a Swedish maker of compressors we have followed since 2019.

The portfolio holds 31 companies and 4.7% in cash. Its weighted return on capital is 21%, against 11% for the index.
